At Highfield, your child is valued for their individuality; nurtured to ensure they achieve their best; given every opportunity to grow in confidence, and expected to contribute positively to our school family.

We see education as a partnership between your home and our school. We provide an exciting and inclusive, happy and caring school in which we have high expectations for all our pupils.

We believe:

  • We are always accountable to the children and will always strive to meet their needs.
  • Together everyone achieves more.
  • If it works do more of it; if it doesn’t do something different.
  • A small change can make a big difference.
  • To always look for solutions to issues and remember the problem is the problem, not the person.
  • Looking positively to the future to help us move forward.

New to Highfield?

Choosing the right school for your child is crucial. We firmly believe that Highfield is a special place and we always welcome visits to our school from prospective parents, so that we can share with you our passion for learning and our commitment to our children and their families. If you are new to Highfield, then I hope that you are able to find all the information you need on this website. If you have any other questions, please contact me directly at the school.

Our Latest Ofsted Report - we're very proud of all our inspection reports. Highfield has held a strong reputation for providing high quality teaching and learning for many years. Ofsted 2022 wrote "Pupils, parents and staff have a deep sense of being part of a school that feels like a ‘family’ which is excited by learning." Our most recent report shows that we have not only met the expected standards but exceeded them in many areas. Our pupils were described as 'behaving wonderfully' and we whole heartedly agree!

Schools Comparison Website Gov.uk - this site also allows you to compare schools' test results with other school's nationally - those that are both very different to Highfield contextually and those that are similar.

Want to learn how to keep your child safe when using the internet? Think u know is a useful place to begin. We also have our own policies on the parents' page. Take a look.

ParentView Let Ofsted know your views about Highfield School using this online survey. Your opinions can be given at any time and do not have to be given just prior to or during a school inspection. We will of course continue to canvas your opinions about our school at many points throughout the school year.
